  Se abordó como en la actualidad se evidencian profundos cambios en la economía, la política y el conocimiento científico donde el hombre está llamado a adaptarse y a luchar por salvar el planeta y las especies, fundamentalmente la humana. En este aspecto juega un papel esencial el tratamiento a los contenidos de las asignaturas del área de las Ciencias Naturales en la escuela primaria, los que poseen amplias potencialidades para el desarrollo de los mismos a partir de la resolución de problemas, y de esta forma contribuir a esta pretensión, teniendo en cuenta que además de instruir a los escolares en la adecuada interpretación de los fenómenos y procesos que ocurren en la naturaleza y la sociedad, también propicia una cultura general sobre la repercusión y la acción sostenible del hombre sobre la naturaleza, así como la necesidad de su cuidado y conservación.

  It was presented how deep changes are evidenced in economy, politics, and the scientific knowledge at present times. Wherefore the man is called to adapt and to fight to save the planet and the species, fundamentally the human one. In this aspect it plays an essential role the knowledge of the contents of the subjects of the area of the Natural Sciences in the primary school. They possess wide potentialities to contribute to this pretense, keeping in mind that besides instructing the children in the appropriate interpretation of the phenomena and processes that happen in nature and society, they favor a general culture on the repercussion and the man's sustainable action on nature, as well as the necessity of their care and conservation
