Resumen de La metodología de la investigación cualitativa como necesidad en la carrera de Licenciatura en Enfermería

  El profesional de las ciencias médicas, en el ejercicio de la profesión, debe detectar problemáticas de salud en la población, ser capaz de percibir que algo no está bien o requiere de un estudio más profundo, formulándose interrogantes que necesitan una respuesta científica y que implican un análisis detallado de la realidad. El objetivo: demostrar la importancia de la metodología de la investigación cualitativa en la carrera de Licenciatura en enfermería y sus implicaciones para las ciencias médicas de modo que contribuya al logro de una práctica profesional superior. Materiales y métodos: se realiza un análisis documental sobre las tendencias actuales de la metodología de la investigación cualitativa y su proceso docente educativo en relación con la carrera Licenciatura en enfermería. Los resultados del análisis documental evidencian la insuficiente relación entre las tendencias actuales en la investigación cualitativa en la enfermería y el proceso docente educativo de la misma en la carrera Licenciatura en enfermería. Se concluyó que las últimas tendencias de la educación superior demandan un cambio desde un paradigma instructivo, a uno cognitivo desarrollado por el propio estudiante en el que la investigación cualitativa, junto a la cuantitativa constituyan el eje central en la construcción del conocimiento científico, y traigan consigo un salto cualitativamente superior de la práctica médica que tengan en consideración al ser humano como unidad biopsicosocial, a través de la puesta en práctica de habilidades investigativas que incluyan la investigación cualitativa para que se logre una práctica profesional superior a la altura de los requerimientos sociales actuales.

  The professionals of medical sciences, in the exercise of their profession, should detect health problems in the population they take care of, be capable of perceiving that something is just not right, or requires a deeper study, figuring out questions that demand a scientific answer that implies a detailed analysis of reality. The objective was to analyze the importance of the qualitative research methodology in nursing studies, and their implications for the medical sciences in such a way that contribute to the achievement of a higher professional practice. Materials and methods: an analysis of documents was made on the current trends in qualitative research methodology and its teaching learning process in relation to nursing studies. The analysis of documents showed there is not enough relation between the current trends in in qualitative research in nursing and its teaching learning process in the nursing studies. It was concluded that the latest tendencies in higher education demand a change from an instructional paradigm to a cognitive one developed by the students themselves in which the qualitative research along with the quantitative research become the central part in the construction of scientific knowledge, and bring about a qualitatively higher leap in medical practice that take into consideration the human being as a biological, social, and psychological unit, by putting into practice research skills that include qualitative research in such a way that achieve a higher professional practice according to the current social requirements.
