  • Bootyful, an alternative spelling of beautiful, has seen a dramatic rise in usage among Twitter users in South Wales. Cyw, coming one's way, has become popular in the north of the UK. Scrims, referring to practice sessions before competitions, stems from gaming forums. The software that picked up on these words was developed by Daniel Kershaw and Matthew Rowe at Lancaster University UK.
