  • In this article the author offers observations on the appeal of artwork that looks unfinished. He cites the art of several artists whose work appears unfinished including Alberto Giacometti, Philip Guston and Sergej Jensen. Additional topics discussed include the book "Being and Nothingness," by Jean-Paul Sartre, the Abstract Expressionism art movement and what constitutes a finished artwork.
