The article examines the art collection at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in Mumbai, India. Particular focus is given to the scientific research facility's collection of postwar Indian art. Additional topics discussed include how the research facility was founded in 1945, works in the collection including the 1964 painting "Bharat Bhagya Vidhata," by M.F. Husain, and whether or not the art at TIFR has anything to do with science.
