The article examines the life and work of the contemporary artist John Divola. Particular focus is given to his work in photography. Additional topics discussed include his exhibition "John Divola: As Far As I Could Get," at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in Los Angeles, California, through July 6, 2014, his studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his work in black-and-white photography.
