  • The article discusses the 2009 centennial of the "Plan of Chicago" created by U.S. urban planner Daniel Burnham, and three art exhibition buildings constructed in Chicago, Illinois to commemorate it. Two are temporary pavilions, designed by Dutch architect Ben van Berkel and British Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, and the other is the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago, designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano.
