  • The article offers art-related news briefs for 2011. The nonprofit organization Venice in Peril has asked 14 artists to photograph Venice, Italy, for an upcoming exhibition titled "Real Venice." An exhibition titled "Nod Nod Wink Wink: Conceptual Art in New Mexico and Its Influences" is opening on July 9, 2011 in Taos, New Mexico. The Whitney Museum of American art broke ground for its building in the meatpacking district of New York City.
