In this article the author examines several artworks by the American textile artist Sheila Hicks. Particular focus is given to how the works are intended to reflect upon the exhibition "Sheila Hicks," which was held at the Sikkema Jenkins & Co. gallery in New York City, from April 20th through June 2, 2012. Works discussed include "The Evolving Tapestry: He/She," "Squiggle" and "Nuit Blanche."
