  • The article discusses the work of Italian artist Piero Gilardi. The author explains how Gilardi was part of the early Art Povera movement in Italy. The author talks about Gilardi's critical and commercial success in the 1960s with his floor installations and wall reliefs made of foam. His work in the 1980s is mentioned. The environmentalist themes in Gilardi's work and their relevance to contemporary world issues are also discussed.
