The article examines the art scene in Southern Asia including Bombay, India, New Delhi, India, and Lahore, Pakistan. Particular focus is given to the 2008 touring art exhibition "Indian Highway," which featured various Indian artists. The work of several South Asian artists is also explored including Promotesh Das Pulak, Tayeba Begum Lipi and Kabir Ahmed Masum Chisty.
