The article discusses art censorship in China, with particular focus on raids on the Oriental Vista (OV) Galley in Shanghai, China and the studio of Chinese artist Ai Weiwei in November 2010. Censorship of the exhibitions "Shifting Definitions" and "Re-envisioning History" at the OV Gallery are explored. Ai Weiwei's criticism of government-initiated suppression and the imprisonment of activist Liu Xiaobo, which led to the demolition of his artist studio, are also addressed.
