  • The article discusses the work of artists who seek to expose the authoritarianism, violence and corruption of contemporary society. Artists discussed include the Mexican Teresa Margolles, the American photographer Nina Berman, the Egyptian Mohamed Fahmy, also known as Ganzeer, and the Chinese Ai Weiwei. Also discussed are the political artworks of the Russian art collective Voina.
