  • The article explores the criticism surrounding two exhibition reviews written by Ken Johnson and published in the periodical "The New York Times" in 2012. Exhibitions discussed include "Now Dig This! Art and Black Los Angeles 1960-1980" held at the MoMA PS1 museum in New York City and "The Female Gaze: Women Artists Making Their World" at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The online petition launched in response is also discussed, which accused Johnson of forming ill-formed arguments.
