  • The author presents a personal narrative in which she reflects on a photograph taken of her dancing at Battery Park in New York City in 1980 dealing with topics including how the photograph represents her dance "Rites of Passing," how the photograph was taken during an art event titled Art on the Beach and how she is still friends with the women photographed with her.
