The article examines the response of Japanese artists to the 2011 Fukushima nuclear reactor crisis. Particular focus is given to the work of manga authors and artists that have dealt with this content. Additional topics discussed include the labor practices of nuclear power companies in Japan, the collection of stories "Deep Sea Fish," from the cartoonist Susumu Katsumata, and the exhibition "Don't Follow the Wind," which examined the disaster.
