  Presentamos el caso de un varón de 52 años, con demencia fronto-temporal variante conductual. Su evolución clínica fue progresiva, con grave deterioro cognitivo, aplanamiento afectivo y parkinsonismo simétrico secundario a antipsicóticos.

  El enfoque de esta entidad es complejo, por lo que el presente caso ha implicado la participación del médico de familia, el neurólogo y el psiquiatra.

  Debido a la gran variedad de condiciones neuropsiquiátricas y orgánicas que pueden incluirse en el diagnóstico diferencial, constituye un reto clínico.

  We present the case of a 52-year male, with behavioral-variant frontotemporal dementia. His clinical course was progressive, with severe cognitive deterioration, emotional blunting and symmetric Parkinsonism secondary to antipsychotics.

  The approach of this condition is complex, so that the present case involved the participation of the family physician, neurologist and psychiatrist.

  This presents a clinical challenge due to the great variety of neuropsychiatric and organic conditions that can be included in the differential diagnosis.
