Registros médicos y apego a la Guía de Práctica Clínica en la atención prenatal

    Objetivo. Determinar el apego a la Guía de Práctica Clínica con enfoque de riesgo en embarazadas atendidas en la consulta externa.

    Metodología. Estudio descriptivo, mediante revisión de expedientes médicos de pacientes embarazadas de alto riesgo en una unidad de Atención Primaria. Se obtuvieron datos respecto al control prenatal en un periodo de seis meses. Se realizó estadística descriptiva. Se consideró apego a un porcentaje ≥ 80 % de actividades realizadas de acuerdo a la guía.

    Resultados. Se analizaron 173 expedientes y se obtuvo un apego del 73 %. Los rubros con menor porcentaje de apego fueron: diagnóstico (55,45 %), educación (60,33 %), referencia a segundo nivel (61,71 %) y solicitudes de análisis de laboratorio (62,45 %).

    Conclusiones. Se obtuvo un apego a las acciones de la guía por debajo de lo recomendado; sin embargo, es probable que las acciones sean realizadas por el personal médico sin ser asentadas en los registros, por lo que es recomendable realizar estudios prospectivos que midan el apego a las recomendaciones así como las circunstancias que podrían asociarse a que dichos registros no se lleven a cabo.

    Objective. To determine the attachment to the clinical practice guide with risk approach in pregnant women seen in the outpatient clinic.

    Methodology. Descriptive study, by reviewing medical records of high-risk pregnant patients in a primary care unit. Data on prenatal control were obtained over a six-month period. Descriptive statistics were performed; attachment was considered a percentage ≥ 80% of the activities accomplish according to the guide.

    Results. 173 records were analysed and an attachment of 73% was obtained. The items with the lowest percentage of attachment were: Diagnosis with 55.45%; Education with 60.33%; Reference to second level with 61.71%, and request of laboratory analysis with 62.45%.

    Conclusions. We obtained an attachment to the actions of the guide below recommended, however, it is probable that the actions are performed by the personal physician without being recorded in the registries so it is advisable to carry out prospective studies that measure attachment Recommendations as well as the circumstances that apply to records that are not carried out.
