    La actividad de los últimos Magónidas está ligada a la formación del imperio africano de Cartago. Los cartagineses desarrollaron campañas importantes contra indígenas, pero también chocaron con la colonización griega africana en Cirene. El artículo se centra en la trascendencia de este choque en relación a la formación de ese imperio africano cartaginés, así como su resolución, cronología y las causas que llevaron al final de ese enfrentamiento estudiando especialmente la leyenda de los hermanos Filenos en relación a todo esto y a la frontera más oriental de ese imperio cartaginés.

    The activity of the last Magonidas linked to the formation of the African empire of Carthage. The Carthaginians developed important campaigns against Libyans, but they also clashed with the Greek colonization in Cyrene. The article focuses on the significance of this clash in relation to the formation of that Carthaginian African empire, as well as the resolution, chronology and the causes that led to the end of this conflict, especially studying the legend of the brothers Philenos in relation to all this and the easternmost border of that Carthaginian empire.
