  El artículo aborda el estudio de la cultura lúdica medieval y moderna a través del análisis de las distintas fiestas y celebraciones que tuvieron lugar en las ciudades del Reino de Castilla entre los siglos XIV y XVII. Luego de señalar la historiografía obligada sobre el tema que nos atañe, ahondaremos en la reflexión sobre la estructura y función social de la fiesta para finalizar con la construcción de un modelo teórico tipológico que nos permita advertir la pluralidad de acontecimientos festivos, sus similitudes y diferencias.

  The article discusses about the study of medieval and modern leisure culture through the analysis of the various parties and celebrations that took place in the cities of the Kingdom of Castile between the fourteenth and seventeenth centuries. After focusing on the must-read historiography on the subject, we will move on to debate on the structure and social function of the celebrations to finish with the construction of a typological theoretical model that allows us to take note on the plurality of festive events, and their similarities and diferences.
