    Objetivos: comprender el comportamiento de la militancia secundaria oficialista durante los años de la gestión kirchnerista, enfatizando los procesos que permitieron su visibilidad y crecimiento y los efectos de la misma en el conjunto del movimiento estudiantil. Adicionalmente, se analiza el devenir de esta militancia cuando ocupan un rol opositor tras la derrota del kirchnerismo en las elecciones de 2015.

    Resultados: se evidenció una disminución en la participación estudiantil en organizaciones de segundo grado. Se propone una hipótesis acerca de las  implicancias del auge de participación juvenil y su incipiente estancamiento en el  cambio de gobierno.

    Objective: to understand the behaviour of the second militant candidate during the Kirchner administration, emphasising the processes which allowed its visibility, growth and effects similarly seen in the student movement. Additionally, this investigation analyses the outcome of such militancy when they occupy an oppositional position after the defeat to Kirchnerism in the 2015 elections.

    Methodology: quantitative and qualitative primary data was constructed and relieved in order to make an extensive description and to, in turn, risk interpretations to the questions posed.

    Results: a reduction in the student participation in second grade organizations was revealed. A hypothesis was proposed regarding the implications of the upsurge in youth participation and its incipient stagnation in the change of government.   Conclusions: it was concluded that a link exists between the student militancy, the political cycles and the broad political actors.
