El objetivo del presente trabajo es explicar por qué los predicados no estativos responden como los estativos ante un conjunto de pruebas de estatividad cuando se construyen con la perífrasis progresiva española estar + gerundio. Nuestra hipótesis es que el Progresivo es un contenido de Aspecto de Fase. Por ello, nos proponemos demostrar que el comportamiento de la perífrasis en estas pruebas no se deriva de su naturaleza como mecanismo estativizador sino de sus requisitos de selección de una parte interna del evento verbal

The aim of this study is to explain why the progressive non-stative predicates behave as the stative ones with respect to a set of stativity tests. Our hypothesis is that the Progressive is a content of Phasal Aspect. So, our purpose is to prove that the behaviour of the Spanish periphrasis - estar gerund - in those tests does not follow from its nature as a stativizing device but from the fact that it selects an internal part of the verbal event.
