    El objetivo de este trabajo es ofrecer un panorama general de la política educativa de la monarquía española en la Edad Moderna siglos XVI a XVIII, a través de la legislación castellana. Desde el plano normativo en qué medida había una regulación de la enseñanza desde la infancia hasta otros niveles educativos superiores. El papel de los maestros, cátedras, y otros instrumentos formativos, los programas educativos, las obligaciones y derechos de maestros y alumnos, el control educativo, la fundación de centros educativos y, en general, toda actuación relacionada con la educación que fue objeto de regulación legal por el derecho castellano de la edad moderna

    The objective of this paper is to provide an overview of the educational policy of the Spanish monarchy in the modern age (sixteenth and eighteenth centuries), through the Spanish legislation. From the policy level to what extent there was a regulation of education from infancy too the higher educational levels. The role of teachers, lectures, and other educational tools, educational programs, the obligations and rights of teachers and students, the educational control, foundation schools and, in general, any action related to the subject of education was regulation by the Castilian legal right to the modern age
