Resumen de Legislating Integrity.

Paul Raeburn

  • The article reports on a provision inserted by Senator Richard Durbin of Illinois into a funding bill for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The provision states that no funds from the bill can be used to "disseminate scientific information that is deliberately false or misleading." In addition, the department is barred from asking candidates to its scientific advisory panel to make their political views or voting history public. Legislation that prohibits censorship of scientific findings has also been introduced.
