  • The author reflects rationally on consciousness, free will, and God. He talks about consciousness being represented by the qualitative experience of existing as something. He comments on the deterministic view of the universe and what this means for the concept of free will. He speculates that if God is outside the universe then natural science cannot discover God, but if God is part of the natural world or interferes with the natural world then God would be quantifiable.
