  • The article focuses on the issue of suicide among military personnel in the U.S. and its prevention. Topics mentioned include the growing rate of suicidal rates, the importance in identifying the earliest suicidal signs to final attempts and the move of the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs and the National Institute of Mental Health in focusing to save lives. The significance of dialectical behavior therapy in reducing suicidal attempts is also emphasized.
