  • The article discusses the study by doctoral student Nathan Kleist at the University of Colorado Boulder and his colleagues on the impact of noise due to oil-and gas-drilling on birds. The study reportedly involved the placement of nests in varying distances from oil-and gas-drilling operations. The results revealed that the noise can cause chronic stress in three songbird species.
