    El Femicidio es la consecuencia más extrema de la violencia contra la mujer. Estudios de diferentes autores y testimonios de allegados a las víctimas permiten establecer que los efectos de este tipo de sucesos repercuten en el entorno más cercano. La no existencia de una caracterización de las secuelas emocionales en los allegados de las víctimas de Femicidio en Manabí agudiza el panorama de este problema social en esta provincia. Se describen las principales secuelas emocionales que afrontan familiares de las víctimas de Femicidio en Manabí. Se recopilaron testimonios de familiares y vecinos de las víctimas de Femicidio en Manabí, así como de autoridades que conocen del tema, se utilizó la revisión bibliográfica de artículos científicos relacionados con el tema. Se aplicaron métodos y técnicas de investigación cualitativos como análisis de la violencia de género y las secuelas que ésta ocasiona en el seno familiar. Las consecuencias de la violencia de género afectan no sólo a la pareja, sino también a su círculo más cercano ocasionando secuelas que repercuten de distintas maneras en madres, padres, hijos, hermanos, tíos, primos, vecinos y sociedad que ha sido testigo o conocido del delito. Los afectados presentan problemas emocionales, dificultad para adaptarse a los cambios, sentimientos de culpa, baja autoestima, depresión, signos de agresión y actitudes de aislamiento.  Se hace necesario que el Estado ecuatoriano intervenga con políticas no sólo de investigación, sino también de apoyo a familiares de las víctimas.

    Femicide is the most extreme consequence of violence against women. Studies of different authors and testimonies of relatives of the victims allow establishing that the effects of this type of events have an impact on the closest environment. The absence of a characterization of the emotional consequences in the relatives of the victims of Femicide in Manabí sharpens the panorama of this social problem in this province. The main emotional sequels that family members of the victims of Femicide in Manabí face are described. Testimonies of relatives and neighbors of the victims of Femicide in Manabí, as well as authorities who know the subject, were compiled. A bibliographic review of scientific articles related to the subject was used. Qualitative research methods and techniques were applied such as analysis of gender violence and the consequences that this causes in the family. The consequences of gender violence affect not only the couple, but also their closest circle causing sequelae that impact in different ways on mothers, fathers, children, brothers, uncles, cousins, neighbors and society that has witnessed or known of the crime. Those affected have emotional problems, difficulty adapting to changes, feelings of guilt, low self-esteem, depression, signs of aggression and isolation attitudes. It is necessary that the Ecuadorian State intervene with policies not only of investigation, but also of support to relatives of the victims.
