This article discusses the work of Wafaa Al-Sadr, a physician who specializes in Infectious diseases, in the prevention of complications relating to the AIDS virus. The efforts of Al-Sadr to improve treatment for AIDS patients by incorporating tests and medications for tuberculosis into the standard treatment regimen in Sub-Saharan Africa is described.
