  • The article presents an update to the article "Does Screening for Prostate Cancer Make Sense?" from the September 1996 issue. The observation that the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test does not save many lives is mentioned, noting that some prostate cancers never pose a problem and treatment could cause impotence and incontinence.
