  • The article discusses the history of horse domestication. The discovery that the Botai people who lived in the area of northern Kazakhstan in the fourth millennium B.C. kept domesticated horses is mentioned, noting that evidence of mare milk collected in ancient cooking vessels and damage in horse jaw bones that was from bits or bridles has suggested that the horses they kept were domesticated.
