  • Resumen
    • The article discusses the possibility that daylight saving time may not result in lower energy usage in the U.S. A history of the development of daylight saving time is provided, noting that it was initially conceived by Benjamin Franklin in 1784 and first instituted in the U.S. during World War I. The possibility that energy usage patterns in the early 21st century may render daylight saving time's energy savings ineffective is discussed. INSET: Moving the Hands Is Bad for the Heart.
