  • The article reports the discovery that the protein histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) promotes healthy vision. The discovery, which was made by researches from the Harvard Medical School, notes that rod photoreceptors and bipolar cells in laboratory mice survived longer when levels of HDAC4 were boosted in their diets.
