Resumen de Estudio experimental de la absorción estromal de norfloxacino con lentes terapeuticas utilizadas como reservorio medicamentoso

Se plantea un estudio experimental en 18 ojos de conejo, en los que se compara la absorción por el estroma corneal de Norfloxacino en tratamiento tópico horario durante 6 horas, frente al tratamiento con lentes terapéuticas embebidas previamente durante una hora en el mismo antibiótico.
Al cabo de seis horas de tratamiento se sacrificaron los animales de ambos grupos, obteniendo un botón corneal mediante bioensayo, comparándose la actividad antibiótica de cada muestra estromal. Las diferencias entre el colirio horario y la LT no fueron significativas.

In this experimental study in 18 rabbits eyes, the absorption of Norfloxacine by the cornea is compared between topical treatment with drops and one-hour presoaked medicated contact lenses.
After six hours of treatment, the animals were killed, and a corneal specimen was obtained by trephination. Antibiotic activity of the specimens was tested by bioassay. No significant sifferences were found between both groups of tretament.
