  A la educación se le ha asignado un papel trascendental en la búsqueda del desarrollo económico, social y cultural de un país o de una región. El mejoramiento de los niveles de cobertura y de calidad de la educación permite, entre otras, fomentar el crecimiento económico, como quiera que al aumentarse la productividad individual se promueve el crecimiento. Si bien es cierto algunos indicadores de crecimiento y educación en el país muestran significativos avances, en otros, ligados a los aspectos sociales como la pobreza, la distribución del ingreso, el empleo, los resultados no son satisfactorios y por lo tanto será necesario redoblar los esfuerzos para obtener mejores y significativos avances que posibiliten alcanzar los niveles de crecimiento y desarrollo económico que nuestro país requiere.

  To the education has been assigned a momentous paper in the search of the economic, social and cultural development of a country or of a region. The improvement of the covering levels and of the quality of the education, allows to foment the economic growth because when the individual productivity being increased, the growth is promoted. Although it is certain that some indicators of growth and education in the country they show significant advances, in other, bound to the social aspects as the poverty, the distribution of the earnings, the employment, the results are not satisfactory and therefore, it will be necessary to double the efforts to obtain better and more significant advances which facilitate to reach the levels of growth and economic development that our country requires
