Estimación de los gastos e ingresos públicos atribuibles a la inmigración en España para el periodo 2006 a 2008

    Este trabajo realiza una aproximación a los gastos e ingresos públicos atribuibles a la población inmigrante residente en España durante el período 2006-2008. Se han considerado tanto los gastos divisibles (sociales, sanitarios y educativos), como los indivisibles atribuibles a todos los ciudadanos por igual. También se han cuantificado los recursos que aportan de manera impositiva mediante la consideración de las figuras tributarias en las que el inmigrante tiene cierta importancia como sujeto pasivo, tanto las recaudadas por la administración central, como por las autonómicas y locales. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que el gasto atribuible a los inmigrantes es superior a los ingresos impositivos que se derivan de su aportación al erario público.

    This study examines the public expenditures and revenues that can be attributed to the immigrant population resident in Spain during the period 2006-2008. We have considered both separable expenditures (social, health and education), and inseparable expenditures, attributed to all citizens alike. We have also quantified the resources contributed through their taxes by taking into account taxes which affect immigrants significantly, as well as taxes collected through the central, regional and local governments. The results show that the expenditure attributable to immigrants is higher than the tax revenues they produce.
