Resumen de Memória, indivíduo e religião: pressupostos para a pesquisa sobre religião no tempo presente

Este artigo apresenta alguns pressupostos para a compreensão da fé das pessoas e de sua relação com a instituição, abordando a relação que a construção de uma identidade e imaginário religioso, de cunho individual, tem com a memória, coletiva e histórica. Após, apresenta-se considerações sobre a construção de tais imaginários e suas consequentes práticas e vivências como sendo expressões legítimas do definir religião. O objetivo do artigo, portanto, é apontar que a pesquisa histórica sobre religião, principalmente em História do tempo presente, necessita, antes e fundamentalmente, considerar como sua principal fonte a vida e expressões de fé do povo, mais do que as fontes institucionais

This article presents some assumptions for the understanding of the faith of the people and their relationship with the institution, addressing the relation that the construction of an individual identity and religious imaginary has with the memory, collective and historical. Afterwards, we present considerations about the construction of such imagery and its consequent practices and experiences as legitimate expressions of the definition of religion. The aim of the article, therefore, is to point out that historical research on religion, especially in the history of the present time, needs, before and fundamentally, to consider as its main source the life and expressions of faith of the people, more than the institutional sources.
