Resumen de Parks and recreation

Conor Gearin

  • To mark the centenary of the US National Park Service in August 2016, the George Eastman Museum in Rochester New York is hosting an exhibition that looks back on photographers' depiction of the parks, from the early days to their tourist-laden present. Photos from the late 1800s invited people to visit the still-wild places and encouraged politicians to set them aside for conservation. The exhibition runs until October 2. Its artwork features in a new book, Picturing America's National Parks, published in June 2016 by the museum and the Aperture Foundation.
