Resumen de Don't tolerate this

Samantha Murphy

  • Murphy talks about a deadly catch-22 that is fueling the prescription opioid epidemic in the US. Since 1999, sales of prescription opioids have nearly quadrupled, and close to 200,000 people in the US have died after overdosing on them, while related emergency hospital visits number almost 400,000 a year. In 2014 alone, close to 20,000 died of an overdose, according to an editorial in the journal JAMA. It doesn't have to be this way. Too many US citizens appear to struggle with pain, pills and physical dependence. Among them was musician Prince, who reportedly had chronic hip pain.
