  • Most developed economies have some form of welfare state to redistribute wealth from the economically active to those who are unemployed or can't work. People differ about who they think should get what, but few dispute the principle ala basic safety net. Here, Hodson discusses the rise of automation could require a radical rethink of how people distribute the fruits of labor.
