Internet de las cosas y herramientas de software libre aplicadas a la educación

    Esta investigación se encaminó hacia la aplicación de tecnologías emergentes como Internet de las cosas, en los procesos educativos con herramientas de software Libre. Se investigó mediante la recolección de material bibliográfico sobre el Internet de las cosas y sus diferentes aplicaciones. Luego de analizar distintas herramientas de software libre disponibles para el uso de Internet de las cosas se seleccionó Node-RED como la solución más idónea para la elaboración de herramientas didácticas. Con esta herramienta de software, acompañada de la placa Raspberry Pi se diseñó un prototipo de laboratorio para la implementación de actividades didácticas que apoyen el aprendizaje en diferentes ámbitos del conocimiento. Se presentó esta propuesta a grupos de estudiantes de pregrado de Ingeniería Industrial e Ingeniería de Sistemas de la Universidad Libre de Barranquilla, se concluyó que al combinar el Internet de las cosas y el software libre permiten elaborar material didáctico con fines educativos.

    The current research is directed towards the application of emerging technologies, such as Internet of things, in educational processes, making use of free software tools. Has been investigated through the collection of bibliographic material, on the Internet of things, and its different applications. After analyzing the various free software tools available for Internet use of things, Node-Network was selected as the best solution for the development of didactic tools. With this software tool accompanied by the Raspberry Pi board, a laboratory prototype was designed for the implementation of didactic activities that support learning in different areas of knowledge. After presenting this proposal to groups of undergraduate students of Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering at Universidad Libre – Sectional Barranquilla, we determined that by combining the Internet of things and free software, we can produce didactic material for educational purposes.
