  • Frac sand miner Select Sands will report lower sales for the first quarter of 2018, it has warned, citing logistics problems.

    The miner, which operates in Arkansas in the United States, sold 113,123 tonnes of frac and industrial sand in the fourth quarter of 2017. This was an increase of 71% from the first quarter of 2017, when it made its first sales.

    But volumes were down slightly from the third quarter when the company sold 114,567 tonnes.
