      En este volumen se presenta una compilación de artículos organizados en tres ejes temáticos, surgidos en el marco de la praxis educativa en los procesos de fortalecimiento de la Autonomía de la Costa Caribe de Nicaragua.

      This volume presents a compilation of 9 articles organized into three thematic axes, arising within the framework of educational praxis in the processes of strengthening the Autonomy of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast. The first axis: Linguistic and cultural revitalization. It includes three articles, the first is entitled: Identity and linguistic displacement in the Wasakín community, Rosita municipality, R.A.A.N. The second article: The sociocultural institutionality of the Pearl Lagoon communities: Haulover and Awas, it addresses community structures such as the Council of Elders, territorial and community assemblies in the need of establishing coordination with the municipalities to overcome conflicts between the different structures of community power. The third article: Linguistic elements that hinder the learning of natural numbers names in Miskitu. The second thematic axis is Education and there are 5 articles, the first one deals with the Situation of teacher performance at URACCAN, Las Minas campus, 2007-2008; the second is entitled: Influence of socioeconomic factors on students´ desertion from the Social Sciences major. The third: Valuation of assessment instruments in the learning processes applied to students in the regular majors of URACCAN, Las Minas campus, 2008. The fourth article entitled: Types of educational evaluations applied to history students, URACCAN, Nueva Guinea campus. The fifth article: Teaching of geometry in the second year of Secondary Education, with the competences approach. In the third thematic axis: Natural resources and environment, it includes the article entitled: Abundance and biomass of earthworms in two ecosystems intervened in the humid tropical forest, Bluefields.
