  Las hemorragias uterinas disfuncionales se entienden como la hemorragia que previene del útero, sin que exista embarazo o puerperio, y en ausencia de enfermedad orgánica comprobable.

  La aparición de un sangrado vaginal crea en la mujer un estado de angustia y ansiedad que le llevan a buscar asistencia al servicio de Urgencias del Hospital. La primera toma de contacto en urgencias es con la matrona y es por ello, que esta debe estar preparada y formada para poder asistirla y prestarle los mejores cuidados.

  En este artículo se recoge las principales patologías que cursan con metrorragia, sus tipos, diagnóstico, tratamiento y lo más importante, las necesidades y los cuidados que requieren este tipo de pacientes con esta patología.
