  • Resumen
    • Nationalism has always been a part of space exploration. The US went to the moon"because it was hard", as President Kennedy said--but also because the Russians were orbiting Earth. Every time a NASA craft visits another world, the little American flags come out, NASA administrator Charles Bolden has justified the agency's current efforts to develop crewed craft as a way to "bring space launches back to America." Here, Grossman talks about how human space flight is flexing national muscle.
