Resumen de Afarak to expand chrome mining at Vlakpoort site
The Afarak Group has received approval to increase its capacity to mine chromite in South Africa, the company said on March 14.
South Africa's Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) accepted an application for new mining rights for the Vlakpoort mine on the northern part of the western limb of the Bushveld complex in the north-west of the country.
Afarak subsidiary Destiny Springs Investments 11 acquired the rights to the mining area in 2011.
