  • The article offers information on exploitation of warming Arctic by different countries for their national interest. Topics discussed include increase in the probability of overfishing in the area which would lead to depletion of fish and crab stocks; plans of the U.S. to expand Arctic oil prospecting; and plans of Canada to widen Northwest Passage which will attract huge ships and as the result of lack of safety and environmental regulations could lead to accidents.
