  • The article reports on decrease in number of U.S. children fully vaccinated against potentially deadly diseases such as measles and diphtheria. Topics include higher rates for kindergartners than other children due to laws requiring them to have the full series of inoculations before entering classroom, views of William Schaffner, professor at Vanderbilt University, on protecting children, and doses of DTaP and MMR vaccine recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
