  • The article discusses the ethical, legal and social challenges related to the technological developments in the field of brain-imaging in terms of gaining access to or interfering with people's neural activity. It mentions development of neuroimaging machines and brain-computer interfaces which detect the electrical activity of neurons that can alter the nervous system signals. It also discusses use of monitoring techniques by the military to increase a fighter's alertness and attention.
