The article informs that geneticist Andres Bendesky of Harvard University and his colleagues identified a gene that regulates nest building by mice. They worked with two kinds of mice that are genetically similar but differ in thair parental behaviour. It is noted that they crossbred two types of mice to yield about 800 grandpups and in the second generation offspring, one gene linked to nest building stood out.
